For a moment, let’s debate:
How great, anyway, were the great?
Was everyone who managed to rule the world and boss us
Actually a colossus?
I would say most, if not all
Were, by any yardstick, small.
Most of them, let’s face it,
Could have fallen off the same charm bracelet!

Yet they had the gall
To act like they were tall –
And not only long,
But strong!
Talk about wrong!
Did anyone actually tot
The stature of Pol Pot?
Tell you what:
It was probably not a lot!
He was the size of a tot –
He looked like he slept in a cot!
(Is every despot
The size of a pepperpot?)
Yet he thought he was some kind of superhero
For taking his country back to ‘Year Zero’.
(I guess, when you’re addicted to crime,
You lose all track of time.)
